Chiniot is the District city of Punjab and Punjab is the province of Pakistan. The time zoon of Chiniot is PST and the calling code is zero four seven. The word Chiniot is from two Punjabi words ‘Chan’ and ‘Ote’ that’s mean is ‘the place where is no light of moon’. Chiniot is the capital of District Chiniot. Chiniot was the part of Jhang District until two thousand and nine. Chiniot is situated in the left of the Chenab River at the Faisalabad road.

The population of Chiniot is about to one point five million. Chiniot is located at the bank of Chenab River and it is famous due to industry of furniture. The Chiniot also export the furniture. The labour of Chiniot has also skilled on woodwork. Chiniot has also many little towns and villages. The notable tehsils of Chiniot are Bhawana and lalian. Due to education Lalian is the richest one.
