The name of Dera Ghazi Khan was named after Nawab Ghazi Khan Mirrani and this city was founded about to fifteenth century. This city was founded by Amir a tribal Sardar. His belong was with the tribe of Mirrani. The new city of Dera Ghazi Khan is at the distance of ten miles from the old city of Dera Ghazi Khan. In nineteen hundred and ten There was came a heavy flood in Indus River that finished the old city of Dera Ghazi Khan. Due to that the old city of Dera Ghazi Khan was came at new place in 1910.
