Skardu is a beautiful hill city located in the north east of Pakistan and one of the big city in Baltistan. Skardu is neighbouring city of Gilgit and about 350 kms from Gilgit. Visiting skardu is possible after the month of May every year. People of Skardu are friendly and welcome to tourists. Most of the people are educated as the there is highest literecay rate othar than any northern city. Skardu is more safe in these days as it far away from disturbed areas as you can see in the above map. |

Shangrila is accessible by air due to PIA's BOEING 737. The air journey, which is approximately 45 minutes from take-off, offers a spectacular view of some of the world's highest peaks. |
The journey by road is enchanting and seems to come to life straight out of a fairy-tale. With unspoiled natural beauty throughout, the Karakoram Highway has often been described as the eighth wonder of the world and beyond any doubt is a true marvel in the world of engineering and infrastructure. It takes 20 Hours by road from Islamabad. |
Chartered helicopter service through Askari Aviation can be arranged for Helicopter Safaris from Islamabad to Shangrila Skardu with a stop at Fairy Meadows at a height of 10,500 ft close to Nanga Parbat. Flying over the Deosai Plains"The longest, widest and the highest plateau in the World". Sight seeing trips can be arranged from Shangrila Resort flying over Baltoro Glacier and spend a few hours at Concordia where three mighty glaciers meet and at a distance stands magnificient K-2, the second highest peak of the World. |

The Pagoda Restaurant
On "China Night" the Pagoda Restaurant (right) offers you a sumptuous Chinese cuisine which traveled this way on the famous Silk Route from China. Other cuisines are also available. The Pagoda is on an island amidst the Honeymoon Lake linked to the Resort by a short bridge.
The Lake View Restaurant
Lake View Restaurant (left) gives a panoramic view of the Resort. In an elegant setting we serve our customers Pakistani and Continental cuisines.
Tandoori Village
